Modernized Process for Uploading Files and Creating Folders
The Documents tool has been redesigned with a more streamlined process for adding files and folders.
Why did this change?
The modernized upload process allows for more reliable uploads for larger files, and will also help support future releases, such as the ability to upload individual files that are over 5GB in size, and uploading folders. Having file uploads and folder creation accessible from the same drop-down menu at the top of the page offers a more consistent and intuitive user experience.
You are now able to upload documents and create folders from the same location by clicking the + New drop-down menu after you have selected the folder you want to add files or folders to.
- If you select Folder, you will be able to create a new folder.
- If you select File Upload, an upload modal will open where you can add files from your computer.

The new upload modal allows you to easily drag-and-drop files, or attach them by browsing on your computer. If a file you selected to upload matches a filename that already exists in the Documents tool, you will see a message asking if you want to rename the file or create a new version. Additionally, there will be a "New Version" banner next to each file that is uploading as a new version.
