Manage Related Items for Assets

Related Items allows you to link an asset to other relevant records across Procore, such as Observations, Incidents, Deficiency List, Submittals, Inspections, RFIs and Incidents, providing additional context and improving traceability throughout the asset’s lifecycle.

Linking related items helps ensure all relevant information is accessible directly from the asset record, reducing the need to navigate between tools, and creates a verified history for the asset that travels with it through handover.

• Company Assets Required User Permissions

• Project Assets Required User Permission

• All link actions are recorded in the asset’s Change History for audit purposes.

• View Related Items

1. Navigate the company or project level Assets tool.

2. Click the asset's ID.

3. Click the the Related Items tab.

4. Click Link Items.

5. Select the Procore tool.

   • Assets

   • Incidents

   • Inspections

   • Inspection Items

     1. If linking Inspection Items, click Next next to the Inspection.

   • Observations

   • Deficiency List

   • RFIs

   • Schedule Activities

   • Submittals

6. Mark the checkboxes for the items you want to link.

7. Click Next.

8. Optional: Add a note.

9. Click Link.

1. Navigate the company or project level Assets tool.

2. Click the asset's ID.

3. Click the the Related Items tab.

4. Click Unlink next to the related item.

5. Click Remove Link to confirm.

4. Click any related item to view it's details.
