Respond to a Tender from the Tender Board

Objective

To respond to a tender from a Tender Board project in the Estimating, Tender Board, or Portfolio Planning tools.

Background

The Tender Board and Portfolio Planning tools in Procore are where you can easily view and manage all tenders that your company has been invited to, without needing to switch between different companies in Procore. You can view all tender details and documents, manage your intention to tender, and begin the takeoff and estimating process, all from the same tool.

If you have moved a project from the Tender Board to your Portfolio tool, you can also take these actions in the Estimating tool.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions for the Tender Board tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Estimating tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Portfolio Planning tool.
• When using the Estimating tool, tasks are only available for projects that originated in the Tender Board tool. See Add a Tender Board Project to the Portfolio Tool.
• A notification is sent to the sender immediately after you update your intention to tender. You can change your response at any time before the deadline of the tender by clicking the other response in the banner.

Steps

1. Navigate to the Tender Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
   OR
2. Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
3. Click the Overview tab.
4. In the 'Invitation to Tender' banner at the top of the Overview page, click one of the following responses:
   • Will Tender
   • Will Not Tender
5. Optional: If you want to archive a tender that you are not responding to, click Archive. This moves the tender to the Archived page of the Tender Board, where you can still view and unarchive it if needed.
