Below are the notable changes to the company's Portfolio tool.
A user’s project role now carries over when you create a project from a template. See What gets copied over to a new project from a project template?
Procore has successfully integrated a new engagement platform to power the legacy experience of the Portfolio tool. This update includes a data integration for the 'My Open Items' lists on the Portfolio tool home page, ensuring consistency across the Procore product. The 'My Open Items' feature also ensures accurate and performant data, including project-level and company-wide items and new support for Budget Changes and Document Management.
Project templates now carry over files in the Documents tool to projects created from those templates. These changes will impact projects created from project templates moving forward, and do not impact existing projects already created using a template.
With this improvement, save time by not having to re-upload files that each project reuses. See What gets copied over to a new project from a project template? for details.
Beginning today and extending gradually to all companies over the coming week, users can benefit from project templates carrying over more settings and data from financial tools to projects created from those templates. These changes will impact projects created from project templates moving forward, and do not impact existing projects already created using a template.
With this improvement, additional fields in the template's Commitments and Prime Contracts tools, including financial markup configurations for Prime Contracts, now carry over. See What gets copied over to a new project from a project template? for details.
Project templates now carry over more settings and data from the Admin tool to projects created from those templates. These changes will impact projects created from project templates moving forward, and do not impact existing projects already created using a template.
With this improvement, additional fields in the project Admin tool, such as language selection and location fields, now carry over. See What gets copied over to a new project from a project template? for details.
Project templates now carry over more settings and data from Drawings, Photos, and Specifications to projects created from those templates. These changes will impact projects created from project templates moving forward, and do not impact existing projects already created using a template.
With this improvement, all settings for Drawings carry over, but individual drawings do not. All settings for Specifications carry over, but individual specifications do not. All settings for Photos now carry over, as well as albums and album order, but individual photos do not. See What gets copied over to a new project from a project template? for details.
