In the Resource Planning tool, you can view and manage your project's resource assignments and requests using a Gantt view. View details such as project names, categories, requests, assignments, resources, and job titles. Manage resources either from the list section or directly on the Gantt chart's timeline. To make changes, simply drag and drop items or click into detail pages.





Click Assignments and select Gantt (Beta).
Next to the project name, click the vertical ellipsis
and select Add Category.
To add a subcategory, click the vertical ellipsis
next to the category, and select Add Subcategory.
OR
Right click the category bar and select New Subcategory.
Enter the name of the subcategory.
Click out of the text box to save.
Click the undo
icon to undo an action. Click the redo
icon redo a previously undone action.
Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
Click Assignments and select Gantt (Beta).
Double click the category or subcategory name.
Enter the new name. Then click anywhere on the screen to save.

Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
Click Assignments and select Gantt (Beta).
Click the category or subcategory. To move the assignments and requests within the category and maintain their spacing, press and hold the SHIFT key and select the assignments and requests. Click and hold the last selection, then move the group of tasks to the desired location using a drag and drop operation.

Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
Click Assignments and select Gantt (Beta).
Next to the category or subcategory, click the vertical ellipsis
and select Delete this Category or Delete this Subcategory.
Click Delete to confirm.

Deleting a task on the Gantt can be undone by clicking the undo
icon, so long as you remain on the Gantt and stay within the same session. However, if you navigate away from the Gantt or your session expires, the task is permanently deleted.
You can bulk delete requests by creating a category (or subcategory), moving the requests into the category, and then deleting the category:

Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
Click Assignments and select Gantt.
Click New.
Complete the assignment information. Show/Hide Fields
Project. Enter the project that the assignment is for.
Person. The assignee.
Category. Enter the category for the assignment.
Subcategory. Enter the subcategory for the assignment.
Status. Select the assignment status.
Working Days. Enter the working days needed for the Assignment.
Tags. Select the tags for the assignment. See Configure Tags for Resource Planning.
Start Day. Enter the date the work assignment starts.
Date. Enter the specific start date for the assignment.
Project Start. If the assignment starts on the same date as the project, select the project start date.
End Day. Enter the date the work assignment ends.
Date. Enter the specific end date for the assignment.
Weeks. Enter how many weeks the assignment is for.
Project End. If the assignment ends on the same date as the project, select the project end date.
Allocation Type. Select whether the Allocation Type is in Hours of Percent. See What is a Resource Allocation Type?
Work Hours Start. If you selected 'Hours', enter the time of day the assignment begins.
Work Hours Start. If you selected 'Hours', enter the time of day the assignment ends.
Percent. If you selected 'Percent', enter the percent allocated to the assignment
Overtime. Mark this checkbox to allow overtime for any time that goes over the allotted paid hours per shift.
Click Save to save the assignment.

Click the caret
icon and select Save and Alert to save the assignment and send an Assignment Alert to the assignee.
Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
Click Assignments and select Gantt.
Select the Project Assignment Bar beside the person whose assignment you want to change.
Click Configure.
Select Working Day Splits and click Apply.
Click the colored bar of the days you want to edit.
Select Edit This Occurrence to edit specific days of the assignment.
OR
Select Edit Total Assignment to edit the entire assignment.
Edit the assignment information.
Choose an option to save the assignment:
Click Save.
Select the caret
icon and select Save and Alert to save the assignment and send an assignment alert to the assignee.
Optional: Update the 'Subject'.
Optional: Update the 'Alert Content'.
Select when to send the alert:
Send Now. Select this to send the alert immediately, then click Send.
Note: This will send the alert immediately based on the default or project assignment alert settings.
Schedule. Move the toggle to the ON position to schedule the alert to be sent in the future.
Note: You can edit or send the scheduled alert at a later time.
Select the Date and Time to send the alert.
Click Save.
Save Draft. Select this to save the alert as a draft. Then click Save.
