Below is an example scenario and use case:

Example

You have recently completed several Whiteboxing jobs in Portfolio Financials and Capital Planning, and are gearing up to start a new one. Based on your past projects, you have a rough idea of projected costs, but no way to compare scopes of work one to one.

Answer

The best solution for comparing project costs is the Project Comparison feature in the Planning tool.

As an example, we'll use the 'Project Name Keyword' filter to get started.

  1. Type "Whitebox" into the field.
    The projects containing the keyword in the project name are shown, allowing you to choose what you want to compare side-by-side.
  2. Select the appropriate projects and click Apply.
  3. Click into each cost item to explore past pricing one-to-one.
    From here, you can make informed decisions around budgeting for your next Whitebox project based on historical data in Portfolio Financials and Capital Planning.
