Configure Project Connection Settings

 In Beta
The Connection Manager is currently in Beta.

Objective

To configure settings to manually or automatically approve provisioned collaborator requests to connect drawings to their projects.

Background

The project's Connection Manager tool allows you to connect your project to downstream projects of your collaborators to share data in real time. See What should I know about connecting projects in Procore?

Initially, you will be able to connect Drawings. When your projects are connected, drawings published in your project's Drawings tool are automatically copied to your collaborator's project. Users must have the same permissions to view drawings in your account to connect drawings to their project. In your company's Admin tool, you can choose to manually or automatically approve each connection to share drawings.

For all project connections, users with 'Admin' level permissions to the project's Connection Manager tool are notified and can disconnect projects at anytime.

Things to Consider

  • Required Permissions
    • 'Admin' level permissions in the company's Admin tool.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
  2. Under 'Tool Settings,' click Connection Manager.
  3. To automatically approve connection requests, mark the checkbox to 'Allow users with existing access to the Drawings tool to connect their project without Admin approval. (Recommended)'.
    OR
Clear the checkmark to require review to manually accept or decline a project's request to connect.
  4. Click Save.
