Create Time Off in Resource Planning
Objective
To create time off in Resource Planning.
Background
For projects using Resource Planning you can manage time off for your team. When making assignments or filling resource requests from the Assignment Board, the resource bench reflects which people are available, assigned, or off. See What is the 'resource bench' in Resource Planning?
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions
- When creating or filling an assignment request outside of the Assignment Boards, there is not a warning if you are assigning a person that is scheduled for time off that day.
- On the Assignments Boards, you can see which people are available, already assigned, or have time off for a specific day. See Search, Sort, and Filter People on the Assignment Boards.
Prerequisites
- You can only enter time off for people added in Resource Planning. See Add People to Resource Planning.
Steps
You can create Time Off from the following places:
- Time Off List
- Person's Profile
Create Time Off from the Time Off List
- Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
- Click Time Off and select Time Off List.
- Click Create.
- Enter the time off information.
- Click Save.
Create Time Off from a Person's Profile
- Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
- Click People and select People List.
- Click the person's name.
- Click the Time Off tab.
- Click Add Time Off.
- Enter the time off information.
- Click Save.
