Create Notes About People in Workforce Planning


To create notes about people managed in Workforce Planning.


For projects using Workforce Planning, you can manage your workforce using the People List in Workforce Planning. When you have information you want to remember about individuals on your workforce, you can leave notes on their details page. By default, notes are visibile to anyone with access to the person's notes. However, notes can be marked private so that only the creator of the note can view it.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
  • Additional Information
    • By default, notes can be viewed by anyone with permissions to 'View People Notes'.
    • Notes that are marked 'private' can only be viewed by the note's creator.
    • If data syncs are enabled:
      • Notes do NOT sync to the Company level Directory


  1. Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
  2. Click People and select People List.
  3. Locate the user record to modify. Then click their name.
  4. Locate the 'Notes' section and click into the text box to Create new Note.
  5. Enter your note.
  6. Optional: Click the Attachment icon-attachment-circle-mobile.svg icon to add an attachment.
  7. Optional: Mark the Private Note checkbox if only you should be able to view the note.
  8. Click Create.
