Delete or Inactivate People in Workforce Planning
Objective
To delete or inactivate a person for Workforce Planning.
Background
For projects using Workforce Planning, you can inactivate or delete people from your workforce using the People List in Workforce Planning.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- To inactivate people, 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool and 'Admin' level permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.

'Read Only' permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool with the 'Edit People Details' granular permission within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning. - To delete people, 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool and 'Admin' level permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
OR

- Additional Information
- Deleting a person permanently removes all their history and data from Workforce Planning.
- People marked as 'Inactive' can not be assigned to workforce assignments, but remain in Workforce Planning for record keeping purposes.
- If data syncs are enabled:
- People marked as inactive or deleted in Workforce Planning are made 'Inactive' in Procore's Company Directory.
Note: It typically takes one hour for people inactivated or deleted in Workforce Planning to be inactivated in the Company Directory. See Why do I see people in Workforce Planning, but not Procore?

Steps
You can:
Inactivate a Person in Workforce Planning
- Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
- Click People and select People List
- Locate the user record to modify. Then click their name.
- Locate the 'Info' section and click Edit.
- Under 'Status', select Inactive.
- Click Save.
Note: The person is marked as 'Inactive' in both Workforce Planning and Procore's Company Directory.
Delete a Person in Workforce Planning
- Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
- Click People and select People List
- Locate the user record to modify. Then click their name.
- Locate the 'Delete Person' section and click Delete.
- Enter the word 'Yes' to confirm deletion.
- Click Delete.
Note: The person is deleted from Workforce Planning and marked as 'Inactive' in Procore's Company Directory.
