View the Assignments Boards

Objective

To view the Assignments Boards and see a single-day view of all active people and projects for Workforce Planning.

Background

The Assignments Boards allows you to see a single-day view of all active people and projects. You can see all active projects along with the workforce requests and workforce assignments for each project. You can also set defaults for how you want to view the Assignments Boards.

Things to Consider

Required User Permissions:
- 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool and 'Admin' level permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
  OR
  'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool with 'View Assignments' granular permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
Additional Information:
- You can set your default viewing configurations in your tool Settings.

To view the information you want to see on the Assignments Boards:

Configure your Default View

To set your defaults when viewing the Assignment Boards, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
Click the Configure Settings icon.
Click View Preferences.
Locate the 'Boards Page' section and update the following settings:
- Resource Bench - Card Subtitles. Select to update what information displays under the person's name in the 'resource bench'. See What is the 'resource bench' in Workforce Planning?
- Project Boards - Card Subtitles. Select to update what information displays under the person's name for workforce assignments, and under the job title for workforce requests.
- Show Requests per Viewing Day Only. Move the toggle to the ON position to only show workforce requests for the day you are viewing on the Assignments Boards.
Click Save.
