Edit a Specification Area

Objective

To edit the name or description of a specification area in the project's Specifications tool.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • 'Admin' permissions on the Specifications tool.
• Additional Information:

  • You can only edit the name and description of a drawing area. If you want to edit drawings within a drawing area, see Edit Drawings. <unsure about this sentence>

Steps

1. Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
2. Click the Specification Areas page if you are already in a specification area.
   Note: Each area will be displayed with the name of the area, when the area was updated and created, and how many specifications are in the area.
3. Click the gear  icon on the specification area you want to edit.
4. Click Edit.
5. Edit the specification area name or description.
6. Click Update.
