Why can't I turn OFF the 'Action Required' emails sent from the Submittals tool?

Answer

If you are an active Procore user and the Ball In Court (BIC) responsibility for completing an action on a submittal has shifted to you (see Change the Ball in Court on a Submittal), the system will automatically deliver an 'Action Required' email to you when one of the following statements is true:

  • You are included in the first step of the submittal's workflow and Create & Send Emails was clicked when the submittal was created.
  • The submittal workflow step before the step you are included in was completed.
  • You are included in the current step of the submittal's workflow, your own response is pending, and Update & Send Emails was clicked when the submittal was updated.
  • You are included in the current step of the submittal's workflow, your own response is pending, and another response in that step was completed.

Because a member of your project team has listed you as a person who is required to perform an action in order to complete a submittal's workflow by a set due date, 'Action Required' notifications cannot be turned OFF. However, users with 'Admin' level permission do have the ability to configure other automatic email notifications that are sent by the Submittals tool.
