Add Deficiency List Items to a Drawing (iOS)

Objective

To add deficiency list items to a drawing in the Drawings tool on an iOS mobile device.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • To add deficiency list items to a drawing: 
    • 'Read Only' permission or higher level permissions on the project's Drawings tool.
      AND
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Deficiency List tool.
      Note: While 'Standard' level users can create deficiency list items, they cannot assign a deficiency item unless they have been granted special permission to act as the Deficiency Item Manager. 
  • To publish deficiency list item markups on a drawing:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Drawings tool. See What is the difference between personal and published drawing markups?

Steps

1. Open the Procore app on your iOS mobile device.
2. Tap the project's Drawings tool.
3. Tap the drawing you want to add a deficiency list item to.
4. Tap the Pin  icon in the markup toolbar.
5. Tap the Deficiency  icon.
6. Place a deficiency item pin on the drawing by tapping the area where you want the item to appear.
7. After the deficiency item has been placed, choose from the following options: 
   • To link an existing item:
     1. Tap Link Existing to select an existing deficiency to add.
     2. Select the item to add it to the pin.
   • To create a new deficiency item:
     1. Select a template or tap + Create Deficiency Without a Template.
     2. Enter any relevant information needed. See Create a Deficiency List Item (iOS)
     3. Tap Save.
8. The deficiency pin displays the number assigned to the deficiency list item.
   Note: Gray deficiency pin icons denote a closed deficiency list item. Orange deficiency pin items denote an open deficiency item.
9. If you have 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions to the Drawings tool and want to publish the deficiency markup:
   1. Tap the Select markup tool.
   2. Tap the deficiency pin and tap Publish.
      Note: If you want Procore to automatically publish any new deficiency list items you add to drawings in this project, set 'Auto-Publish Deficiency Pins' to ON.
