Add and Manage Internal Notes in a Tender Board Project
Objective
To add or manage internal notes in a project that was created in the Estimating, Tender Board, or Portfolio Planning tool.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions for the Tender Board tool.
- Required User Permissions for the Estimating tool.
- Required User Permissions for the Portfolio Planning tool.
- When using the Estimating tool, internal notes are only available for projects that originated in the Tender Board tool. See Add a Tender Board Project to the Portfolio Tool.
- When you @ mention a user in your note, they receive an email notification.
- Deleting a note is permanent and the note cannot be recovered.
Steps
- Navigate to the Tender Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
OR
Navigate to the project's Estimating tool. - Click the Overview tab.
- Follow the steps below for the available actions:
Add an Internal Note
- In the Notes section, click the add icon.
- Enter your note.
Note:- You can mention a user by typing the @ symbol on your keyboard and selecting their name from the list.
- Links added to notes will appear as clickable hyperlinks. Other text formatting is not supported.
- Click Create.
Edit an Internal Note
- In the Notes section, locate the note you want to edit.
- Click the vertical ellipsis icon on the note.
- Click Edit.
- Update the note.
- Click Save.
Delete an Internal Note
- In the Notes section, locate the note you want to delete.
- Click the vertical ellipsis icon on the note.
- Click Delete.
Note: Deleting a note is permanent. - Click Delete to confirm that you want to permanently delete the note.
