Search for and Filter Drawings

Objective

To search for and filter drawings in the project's Drawings log.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Read Only' or higher permissions on the Drawings tool. 
  • Additional Information:
    • The search function respects any selected filter parameters and will only search for items within the filtered results.
    • The Drawings tool remembers up to five of your last searches. The list of recent search terms appears when you click into the Search bar. 
      Note: Click 'x' if you want to remove a recent search term from the list.

Steps

Search for Drawings

  1. Navigate to the project's Drawings tool.
  2. Enter a term in the search bar. 
    Note: If you want to search through only drawing numbers or titles, enter one of the following search modifiers into the search bar:
    • Enter "number:" before your search term to search drawing numbers.

    • Enter "title:" before your search term to search drawing titles.

  3. Click Search.
  4. To clear the search, click the 'x' in the search bar.

Filter Drawings Edit section

  1. Click the Filter icon-filter2.png  icon beside the search bar. This will open a left side panel.
  2. Select the filter you want to apply. The following filters are available:
    • Discipline
    • Set Name
    • Status
    • If custom fields have been added for the project's Drawings tool, you can filter by fields of the following type: Single Select, Multi Select, and Checkbox. See Create New Custom Fields.

  1. Navigate to the project's Drawings tool.
  2. Select one of the following filters to open the drop down menu:
    • Discipline
    • Sets
  3. Select the required discipline and sets you want to apply.

Sort Drawing Sets Edit section

  1. Click Drawing Sets.
    Note: Make sure the List view is selected. 
  2. Click one of the following column titles to sort by that parameter:
  • Number
  • Title
  • Revision
  • Date Authored
  • Date Received
  • Set
