Release Notes
Below are the notable changes to the project's Models tool.
Recent Changes
Show or Hide Objects on a Model in the Web Viewer (05/25/2021)
Similar to the functionality of the mobile viewer for the Models tool, Procore has added an 'Objects' feature to the web viewer. This feature allows you to view a file tree of objects from the model file so that you can show or hide specific elements while viewing the model. See View a Model.
Dynamic 2D Views Now Available for the Models Tool on iPads (05/07/2021)
Procore has released a new feature, Dynamic 2D Views, for the Models tool on the Procore app for iPads. See Getting Started Guide for Dynamic 2D Views in the Models Tool. This feature allows field teams to see specific dimensions of objects on a coordinated model with a tap of the screen. Users can quickly zoom in and out to see the centerline or outside dimensions of any objects within the model. See View Models (iOS) and Why aren't my grids aligned in the Models tool?
Being able to examine the dimensions further also helps teams ensure that everything will be installed exactly according to the plan. You can also use the new 'Tape Measure' feature to make additional measurements. See Measure Distances on a Model (iOS). With the Dynamic 2D Views feature allowing you to create elevation drawings directly from the model, you won't need to recreate lift drawings in a different authoring solution.
View Coordination Issues in the Web Viewer of the Models Tool (04/19/2021)
The Models tool viewer in the Procore web application has been updated to allow you to view coordination issues associated with a model. This provides an easier and more efficient way for all users to view coordination issues. See View Coordination Issues.
View Active Collaborators in Real-Time Within a Model in the Web Viewer (11/23/2020)
The 'Follow Me' feature that has been available on the Procore iOS app is now available in the Web viewer. This provides users with the ability to see all other users within a BIM model in real-time, making meetings more efficient and allowing for clearer communication. See View a Model.
View Active Collaborators in Real-Time Within a Model Using the Procore iOS App (10/27/2020)
Procore has released a new 'Follow Me' feature that provides users with the ability to see all other users within a BIM model in real-time, making meetings more efficient and allowing for clearer communication.
When two or more people are viewing the same model in the Models tool, the names of active users are shown on their current locations in the model. After clicking the Active Collaborators icon, you can select a specific user to follow in the model. This will automatically bring you to the user's location so that you can see what they are seeing in real-time 3D. See View Models (iOS)

Procore has released the ability for users to select two objects and automatically calculate the shortest distance between them for design and constructability review. See View a Model.
