Edit a Submittal
Objective
To edit an existing submittal using the project's Submittals tool.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- To edit an 'Draft' or 'Open' submittal that you created:
- 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool with the 'Create Submittal' granular permission enabled on your permissions template.
OR - 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool without a permissions template assigned to you.
- 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool with the 'Create Submittal' granular permission enabled on your permissions template.
- To edit a submittal that you did not create:
- 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool and designated as the Submittal Manager.
- To edit any submittal:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool.
- To edit an 'Draft' or 'Open' submittal that you created:
- Additional Information:
- Users without 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool cannot change the status of a submittal.

Steps
- Navigate to the project's Submittals tool.
- Locate the submittal to edit. See Search and Filter Submittals.
- Click Edit.
- Update the information as you want:
- General Information. See Add General Information.
- Submittal Schedule Information. See Calculate Submittal Schedule Information (If Enabled).
- Delivery Information. See Update the Delivery Information.
- Submittal Workflow. See Add Reviewers to the Submittal Workflow.
- Do the following:
- Click Update to save changes without sending an email notification.
OR - Click Update & Send Emails to save changes and send an email notification to members of the submittal workflow and distribution list.
- Click Update to save changes without sending an email notification.
