Edit a Submittal

Objective

To edit an existing submittal using the project's Submittals tool. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • To edit a submittal that you created:
      • 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool with the 'Create Submittal' granular permission enabled on your permissions template.  Note: The submittal status must be 'Open'.
        OR
      • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool.
    • To edit a submittal that you did not create: 
      • 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool and designated as the Submittal Manager
        OR
      • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Submittals tool.
  2. Locate the submittal to edit. See Search and Filter Submittals.
  3. Click Edit
  4. Update the information as you want:
  5. Do the following:
    • Click Update to save changes without sending an email notification. 
      OR
    • Click Update & Send Emails to save changes and send an email notification to members of the submittal workflow and distribution list.
