Financial Management

Real-Time Labor Costing with Field Productivity

For Field Productivity clients collecting timecard entries in the field, Procore has released an update to help self-performing contractors minimize the risks of budget overrun due to labor costs. The labor costing updates provide project manager's with the ability to eliminate wait time associated with inputting timesheet updates. To learn more, see Project Financials: Real-Time Labor Costing with Field Productivity.

Enhancements for Unit-Based Financials

Procore is excited to announce the general release of several new enhancements for unit-based financials. This update, formerly known as the Unit of Measure (UOM) beta program, was tested by beta program participants throughout 2019. These enhancements provide you with the ability to input unit-based quantities on your budget's line items and to automatically calculate the 'Original Budget' amount. See Project Financials: Enhancements for Unit-Based Financials

Consistent & Custom Units of Measure

If your organization uses a Unit of Measure (UOM) that is not already in Procore's Unit of Measure Master List, you can add a custom unit of measure. For example, you might want to add the unit of measurement: gallon (gal) to give your users the ability to add items for fuel and/or liquid costs in one of Procore's Project Financials tools. With this update, you'll greater flexibility and improved consistency, particularly for users in specialized trades who require additional units of measure. See Add a Unit of Measure to the Unit of Measure Master List.

Include Cost Forecast Data in Budget Exports to Sage 300 CRE

For companies that have integrated Procore with Sage 300 CRE®, you can import your real-time actual cost data from Sage 300 CRE® into Procore's Budget tool. This lets project team's leverage their Sage 300 CRE® cost data with the 'Estimated Cost' value in a Procore budget to calculate the budget's 'Estimated Cost at Completion' and 'Forecast to Complete' values.  This ability provides your project's accounting team with the complimentary benefit of being able to access Procore's 'Estimated Cost at Completion' and 'Forecast to Complete' values in Sage 300 CRE®. See ERP Integrations: Include Cost Forecast Data in Budget Exports to Sage 300 CRE.

Timesheets
Assign Default Cost Types to Timecard Entries

Users with 'Admin' level permissions on the company's Timesheets tool can now select and assign default cost types to timecard entries. This allows for real-time visibility into labor costs on the project's Budget tool. See Configure Advanced Settings: Company Level Timesheets.
