Below are the notable changes to the company's Permissions tool in 2020.

New Filter Option for Viewing Users with No Company Permissions Template (15/12/2020)

Procore has updated the 'Company Permissions' filter in the 'User Permissions' tab of the Permissions tool with an option for 'None'. This allows users to narrow the list of users by whether they have not yet been assigned a company permissions template. See Search for and Filter Users in the Permissions Tool.

New Company Level Granular Permissions for Viewing and Managing Directory Information (7/12/2020)

Procore has added new granular permissions to allow users with 'Read Only' and 'Standard' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool to view and manage user and company records. These granular permissions can be granted on company permissions templates. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Company Permissions Template.

New PDF Summary of Company Permissions Templates (4/12/2020)

Users can now export all company permissions templates that have been created in their company's Procore account to a PDF. Each company permissions template has its own page in the PDF that outlines which permission levels have been assigned to the template on each Company level tool. Assign Default Project Permissions Templates in the Permissions Tool (24/11/2020)

Users can now assign default project permissions templates to other users in the 'User Permissions' tab in the company's Permissions tool. See Assign Default Project Permissions Templates in the Permissions Tool.

New Permissions Templates for Company Level Tools (17/11/2020)

Procore has released permissions templates for Company level tools. These templates are called company permissions templates. This release makes managing permissions on company level tools more efficient and helps prepare the company's Permissions tool for future enhancements. New Granular Permission to Act as RFI Manager on RFIs (22/7/2020)

Procore has added a new granular permission to allow users with 'Read Only' and 'Standard' level permissions on the project's RFIs tool to act as RFI Manager. Users with this granular permission will be able to perform some additional tasks for RFIs they create ('Standard' only) or that they are designated as 'RFI Manager' for.  See See Grant Granular Permissions in a Permission Template and What is the RFI Manager role?

New Granular Permission to Mark Official Responses on RFIs (30/4/2020)

Procore has added a new granular permission to allow users to mark official responses on an RFI if they are the RFI's creator or if they are an Assignee or a Distribution List member on the RFI. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Permission TemplateNote: The 'Only Show Official Responses to Standard and Read-Only Users' configuration setting must be turned OFF in order for an RFI's creator to view all responses to the RFI. New Permissions Tool (4/3/2020)

With the new Permissions tool, you can now create and manage both global and project specific permission templates for Project level tools.
