Search for and Filter Specifications

Objective

To use the search bar and filter settings to find a specific specification in the project's Specifications tool.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions
  • Search respects any selected filter parameters (including "set" and "division") and limits the scope of the search to the filtered results.

Steps

Filter Specifications by Division or Set

  1. Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
  2. Select your filters:
    • Division
    • Set 

Search for a Specification

  1. Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
  2. In the Specifications tab, enter a keyword into the search box and press ENTER on your keyboard.
  3. Search returns results for data within the following fields:
    • Division
    • Number
    • Set Name
    • Title

Search Text within a Specification

  1. Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
  2. Click Open next the specification section.
  3. Click the search icon-search.png icon.
  4. Enter your keyword, then press ENTER on your keyboard.
