Construction Platform Release Notes
Below are notable changes for the Procore web application for the week ending Friday, February 28, 2020.
Core Tools
Documents
Visual Redesign of the Documents Tool
The Documents tool at the Project and Company level has been redesigned with a new layout. The new design offers several improvements and new features. See Documents: Visual Redesign of the Documents Tool.
This release also includes an integration with Microsoft® Office 365® that allows users to open and edit files from the Documents tool. See Open and Edit a File in Microsoft Office 365 Using the Documents Tool and How does the Office 365 integration in Procore's Documents Tool work?
Reports
Test Projects & Project Templates Excluded from Company Reports & Dashboards
Test projects and project templates will now be excluded from Company Reports and Dashboards. This provides a clearer view of your company's actual projects without needing to manually exclude test projects and templates by name.
Preconstruction
No notable changes.
Project Management
Schedule
Updated Gantt Chart View
The Gantt view of the Project level Schedule tool has been redesigned with a refined look and expanded functionality. This update makes it easier to navigate through the schedule and view important information. See View a Project Schedule.
Note: Since the updated Gantt chart provides a more comprehensive and flexible experience with several new features, the Microsoft Project Viewer in Procore has been removed. In addition, the Gantt Chart settings (such as 'Enable MS Project Viewer Gantt Chart' and Task Level colors) are no longer available in the Schedule tool's Configure Settings page.
Financial Management
Change Orders
Removed Sidebar from Change Orders Tool
As part of a larger design effort to progressively remove the right sidebar from all Procore tools, Procore has removed the side bar from the Change Orders tools. To learn more, see Change Orders: Removed Sidebar from Change Orders Tool.

Procore has released enhanced financial line item experience for the Change Orders tool. This update is a next step to Procore's larger initiative, which was released in January 2020, that added the enhanced line item experience to Procore's Project Financials tools. For more detail about the enhanced experience, see Project Financials: Enhanced Financial Line Item Experience.
