2019

Below are the notable changes to the Project level Directory tool in 2019.

'Bulk Add from Company Directory' Now Shows External Vendor ID (27/12/2019)

When adding vendors using the 'Bulk Add from Company Directory' feature, the vendors' external IDs display in a new column in the selection table. The external IDs are the vendors' unique IDs from an ERP integrated system. See Bulk Add Users and Companies to a Project Directory.

New Company Name Drop-Down List (27/6/2019)

As part of the preparation steps for configurable fields release in the future, Procore has modified the Create User and Edit User pages in the Company and Project Directory tools. Users will now see an 'x' in the Company Name drop-down list that can be used instead of the Clear Company link, a new 'Copy to Personal Information' link lets you quickly input company information to the user's personal record. In addition, the Company Name field is now searchable on the Users tab and you can now create a new company record by clicking Create New at the bottom of the Company Name drop-down list. For details, see Add a User Account to the Company Directory, Edit a User Account in the Company Directory, Add a User Account to the Project Directory, and Edit a User Account in the Project Directory.

Improved Search-As-You-Type Capabilities (14/2/2019)

To provide Procore users with improved search-as-you-type capabilities, Procore has updated the Company and Project Directories to incorporate trigram indexing. This will provide users with powerful and more efficient search results. Now, when you enter any trigram (i.e., any three (3) characters in sequence), Procore's Directory tool's will yield all possible matches regardless of where those three (3) characters appear. See Directory: Improved Search-As-You-Type Capabilities.
