Add Deficiency List Items to a Drawing (Android)

Objective

To add a deficiency list item to a drawing using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • To add deficiency list items to a drawing: 
      • 'Read Only' permission or higher on the project's Drawings tool.
        AND
      • 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Deficiency List tool.
        Note: While 'Standard' level users can create deficiency list items, they cannot assign a deficiency item unless they have been granted special permission to act as the Deficiency Item Manager. 
  • This asset or item can be viewed or edited in offline mode if it was previously viewed and cached on your mobile device. Tasks performed in offline mode sync with Procore once a network connection is reestablished. 

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Drawings tool using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.
  2. Locate the drawing that you want to add a deficiency list item to.
  3. Tap the drawing.
  4. Tap the deficiency pin markup tool in the markup toolbar.

  5. Tap the area of the drawing that you want the deficiency list item to reference.
  6. After the pin has been added, you will be prompted to either add an existing deficiency list item, or you can add a new deficiency list item.
    • To create a new deficiency list item to add to the drawing:
      1. Select the template you want to use, or tap 'Create Deficiency Without a Template'. See Create a Deficiency List Item (Android).
      2. Fill out the fields as necessary.
      3. Tap Save.
    • To link to an existing deficiency list item:
      1. Tap Link Existing.
      2. Tap the deficiency list item that you want to link to the drawing.
  7. After the deficiency list item has been synced to the drawing, the tag will display the number of the item (e.g. "500").
    Note: A blue deficiency pin denotes an open deficiency list item, while a gray deficiency pin denotes a closed deficiency list item.
