About the Commitments Tool

Objective

To learn about the options you can use when working with purchase orders and subcontracts in the Contracts tab of the Commitments tool.

Background

The data table in the Contracts tab in the Project level Commitments tool lists all of your project's commitments. It also provides you with:

  • Control over the data table's row and column configurations. Optimize the tool's workspace by changing the width and height of the table's rows. You can also easily show and hide the columns of your choice, quickly change the column sorting, automatically size one or all columns, and pin columns to keep them in place on your page.
  • Powerful filtering capabilities to analyze your data.  Apply filters to improve your ability to analyze your data. When applying a filter, Procore shows only the commitments that meet your criteria and hides the ones that don't. You can then export or print your data with the filters you've applied.
  • Convenient data grouping options. Take a focused look at important subpopulations. For example, group data to see only 'Draft' commitments or ones assigned to a specific 'Contract Company'? Apply one or all the grouping options to the data and change how data is nested.
  • Streamlined viewing and navigation experience for greater insight into large contract sets. View and navigate through your commitments and save time looking for data.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the project's Commitments tool.
       NoteS
      • To perform certain tasks, you may need additional user access permissions.
      • To learn about the required user permissions for each task, see a tutorial link below.
