Update Tender Files
Objective
To update documents, specifications and drawings that are included in your tender package.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permission:
- 'Admin' on the project's Tendering tool.
- Additional Information:
- Tender packages show a static snapshot of the attached documents, drawings and specifications from the date and time they were attached (as shown in the timestamp).
- If you have made updates to your Tender documents outside of your tender package (e.g. from the Documents, Specifications or Drawings tool), you will see a banner that informs you changes were made to these files when you return to the tender package. You can then update the tender Documents in your tender package to match the updates made outside the tender package by clicking Update.
(Note: Links to Tender Documents found in a Tender Invitation email will update when the Update button in the banner is clicked).
- You will see the banner in the following cases:
- New document revision is added to the tendering folder(s) in the Documents tool.
- New documents are added to the tendering folder(s).
- Drawing revisions are added to the attached set(s).
- Specification revisions are added to the attached set(s).
- You will not see the banner in the following cases:
- An empty document folder is added.
- Drawings are deleted from the attached set(s).
- Specifications are deleted from the attached set(s).
- Documents are deleted from the attached folder(s).
- All associated documents are deleted from the attached folder(s).
- All associated drawings are deleted from the attached folder(s).
- A new document subfolder is added to an attached parent folder where not all subfolders are selected.

Steps
Note: The following steps outline how to attach new files to your tender package (as opposed to updating them to match updates made outside of the tender package as described above).
- Navigate to the project's Tendering tool.
- Click View next to the tender package you want to update tender files for.
- Click the Files subtab.
- Click Edit.
- Deselect and select any necessary file(s) and/or folder(s) (Drawings, Documents, Specifications).
- Once you have made your changes, click Update.
- Send a New Correspondence in the Tendering Tool to inform your tenderers of the change.
Note: Companies who already received your tendering invitation will have a link to the original tender documents, so you will need to create a correspondence to alert them of the change. Companies who have not yet been invited to tender will see the updated tender documents.
